By ordering products, you accept these terms and commit to complying with them. We reserve the right to change our delivery terms.
Opening a Customer Account
Using the Viljatuote Pro online store requires opening a customer account. Prices in the online store are displayed only to logged-in customers. Usernames and customer accounts are opened for customers who have submitted a request. We reserve the right to approve or reject requests for opening a customer account.
Who can open a customer account?
The applicant company must have a valid VAT identification number, and its business operations should, in our assessment, involve the use of our gluten-free products either in manufacturing or for resale purposes. If necessary, please contact our customer service.
Virtasalmen Viljatuote – General
Safe products from pure raw materials
Virtasalmen Viljatuote Oy manufactures and sells only gluten-free mill products in the heart of South Savo, Virtasalmi.
We sell our products to consumer and business customers, as well as wholesalers, with direct deliveries. Our primary market areas are Finland, Sweden, and other EU countries.
Ensuring the Quality of Operations and Products
Virtasalmen Viljatuote Oy is an FSSC 22000 certified company, whose operational quality is monitored by an external auditing company and authorities.
Many products intended for consumer sales have a pan-European AOECS certificate, which informs customers about a safe gluten-free product.
Presentation of Prices and Products
Product prices are displayed exclusive of VAT
The applicable value-added tax will be added to the invoice for customers operating in Finland. Intra-community supply between EU countries, i.e., the sale of goods to another VAT-registered company, is generally tax-exempt in intra-community trade.
Prices are valid until further notice. We reserve the right to change prices and delivery costs. Prices are displayed on the website without VAT in euros, and invoicing is done in euros. We reserve the right to cancel an order in cases of clear pricing errors. We reserve the right not to accept an order.
Our entire product range is gluten-free
Products manufactured and marketed by Virtasalmen Viljatuote are naturally gluten-free mill products. Ingredients and other product information can be found in the specification documents published on the product pages.
All our raw materials are naturally gluten-free, GMO-free, and preservative-free, and we do not use wheat starch in the production of our products.
Products should be stored protected from light, in a dry and cool place. Best before dates can be found on the packaging.
Products are ordered based on sales units
Prices and sales unit information can be found on the Viljatuote Pro website and in a separately available price list. If you wish to order products in quantities differing from the sales units, please contact our customer service.
The contents of a shopping cart sent to our customer service via this website constitute an order, which our customer service will process.
Requests for Quotation and Additional Information
Inquiries or requests for quotation regarding our products can be sent, for example, as an informal email message or by using the website’s contact form.

Order Deliveries and Freight Costs
Small orders, under 75 kg, are usually sent as parcel shipments, while larger orders are sent as freight shipments to the address provided by the customer. The freight cost is determined based on the daily rate, fuel surcharge, delivery area, and additional services. The customer will receive an estimate of the freight cost with the order confirmation.
We always strive for the fastest possible delivery. We dispatch orders for freight transport twice a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Parcel shipments are sent on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Public holidays affect the shipping schedule.
We process and dispatch orders within 1-3 business days, provided all products in the order are available in our stock. We will contact the customer as soon as possible by email or phone if we anticipate a longer-than-normal delivery time or if one or more products are exceptionally unavailable.
We are not responsible for delays caused by reasons beyond our control and influence, or what is generally considered force majeure.
Customer Service Adds Freight Costs to the Order
The estimated costs related to the delivery of the order will be added to the product order, and subsequently, an order confirmation including freight costs will be sent to the customer by email.
The customer may utilize their own shipping agreements by informing customer service when placing the order.
Delivery Methods
The volume, total weight, and available delivery methods at the destination affect the order’s delivery costs. Delivery costs include packaging materials and shipment handling.
Pallets will be invoiced to the recipient. Once the order has been handed over to the freight carrier, we are not responsible for any disruptions or delays in delivery.
Payment for Orders
The products and freight costs of the order will be invoiced once the order has been processed and is ready for dispatch. The invoice will primarily be delivered as an e-invoice or as an email attachment. The payment term is 14 days net.
Claims
Shipment Damaged
Inspect the shipment immediately upon receipt. If you notice external signs of package breakage, report it to the freight carrier and request a notation. Also report the damage to us by phone + 358 208 348 000 or email info@virtasalmenviljatuote.fi. We would appreciate it if you could include a photo with your report, if possible.
Incorrect or Defective Product
If we have delivered an incorrect or defective product, this must be reported without delay to info@virtasalmenviljatuote.fi or by phone + 358 208 348 000.
A report of an incorrect delivery or a defective product must be made within 14 days of receiving the product.
